Bridge collapse on Goa-Karnataka route may cause travel delays

A truck that was on the bridge at the time of the collapse fell into the river. The driver was later rescued by local fishermen, according to a police official from Karwar, Karnataka. The old bridge at Sadashivgad in Karnataka gave way around 1 a.m., the official added. The bridge was used for Goa-bound traffic after the construction of a new one a decade back, the official said.
