One dead after shooting on east side of Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is dead after a shooting on the east side of Columbus Tuesday night.

Columbus police said officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 1200 block of South Hamilton Road at approximately 7:50 p.m.

The victim was taken from the scene in critical condition but pronounced dead at a local hospital at 8:18 p.m.
