No doubt, HOKA has become one of the biggest running shoe brands out there thanks to their podiatrist-approved designs that offer total comfort. Not to mention, their shoe styles come in a wide variety of colorways ranging from pretty neutrals to bold, you’re sure to find one that fits your tastes. As someone who’s owned multiple pair themselves, they truly are some of the most comfortable shoes out there (especially when you’re on your feet for 12-hour Disneyland days!). So, it’s no surprise that numerous celebs, including Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon, and Jennifer Garner, have been spotted out and about wearing HOKA sneakers. The latest HOKA-wearing celeb spotting? Blake Lively.

In a July 27 Instagram post promoting her upcoming film, It Ends With Us, Lively was spotted crouched down in a garden, sporting a pair of HOKA sneakers from their fan-fave Clifton line. It isn’t even the first time she’s worn HOKA Cliftons, as she was also seen wearing a pair back in May 2023, per People. Honestly, it’s not hard to see why the shoes are popular among fans and celebs.

Lively wore the HOKA Clifton 8 in her recent post, which is an earlier iteration of the Clifton 9s that are widely available right now. However, you can still find a pair of Clifton 8s (on sale!), if you know where to look.

The HOKA Clifton 8 was made to be “lighter and springier” than previous versions, making it the perfect running shoe for all distances. It features a “gravity-defying” foam sole and a plush collar for the helps hug your feet and keep them in place comfortably. The cushioning on the shoes are also next-level, and really give you that bounce with every step.

“HOKA Cliftons never disappoint,” wrote one shopper. “I am 64-years-old and power walk six to seven days a week, so having a great walking shoe is essential. I started wearing HOKA Cliftons several years ago and have not found a walking shoe that can surpass the quality and consistency for supporting my back, feet, and ankles. It’s HOKA forever for me!”

As stated earlier, it is hard to come by a new pair of Clifton 8s, however, we found a couple of pairs on sale at Nordstrom Rack and Zappos for up to 30% off. Be sure to take advantage of those deals while you still can.

HOKA Clifton 9 Running Shoes

While the HOKA Clifton 9 running shoes aren’t currently discounted at any major retailers, they’re honestly worth the investment if you’re looking for a solid pair of running shoes. They were designed to be “lighter and more cushioned” than ever before, so you get that extra bit of comfort with these ultra-cushioned sneakers. Not only that, the brand added an extra 3mm in stack height.

Per one shopper review, these sneakers are truly life-changing. “I know that is a very bold statement, but I am obese, have diabetes, plantar fasciitis in my right foot only, lower back pain, and arthritis in both knees,” they wrote. “I do not run, heck I don’t even walk for exercise. I researched these shoes for over a year with friends, co-workers, and complete strangers, before FINALLY going to a store to try them myself. I went in with pain (I had been out for hours shipping and running around). I put them on and when I got up, I had NO plantar fasciitis pain, knee pain, lower back pain AT ALL. I stood up without teetering because something hurt or I had to get myself balanced before waking. I walked around the store for over 20 minutes, no pain … These are absolutely worth it. I wish I hadn’t waited so long.”

Keep in mind, HOKA’s Clifton line is very popular, especially if you’re looking to snag a pair of Clifton 9s. So, while there are tons of colorways to choose from, you definitely want to act fast as sizes do tend to sell out. You can find these at Nordstrom and HOKA online.
