Section of Lafayette Parish under boil advisory until further notice

LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- Residents of northwest Lafayette Parish are being advised to boil their drinking water until further notice.
The Lafayette Parish Waterworks District North has issued a boil advisory for its customers. The system has experienced problems due to a waterline leak on Benoit Road, according to a news release.
"Because of these problems, the water produced by our water supply system is of questionable microbiological quality," the release read.
