YONKERS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A torso and head found burned in Yonkers were brought there on a Metro-North train, police sources told PIX11 News on Tuesday.

The body parts were brought from the Bronx, where investigators found more human remains in an apartment on Rogers Place, sources said. Police believe a suspect or suspects got off the Metro-North at Mt. Vernon, according to sources.

The Yonkers bridge where the body parts were found was a "dump site," according to the City of Yonkers Police Department.

Police also found drug paraphernalia and a firearm at the Bronx apartment, according to the NYPD. It was not immediately clear how the two incidents were connected.

Police have not made any arrests related to the human remains found in Yonkers and the Bronx.
