‘Go get some!’ parents are scrambling to ‘expensive’ supermarket as they spot Pampers sold for £1.31 in secret aisle

BUYING nappies can be expensive but you may be able to bag yourself a bargain if you get down to your local M&S.

While Marks & Spencer is often thought of as being slightly more “expensive” than some budget supermarkets, shoppers have spotted a rather tempting offer in stores.

One mum shared how she had seen a pack of Pampers nappies for just £1.31 in a section of the shop that could get overlooked.

The packs were for Pampers pants, and each contained eight inside.

Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she wrote: “Saw this today in Stockport peel centre.

“Marks and Spencer.

“Which was a bargain.”

When people asked how they could find the deal for themselves, the savvy shopper added: “Just after the tills near the exit.”

You’ll have to be quick if you want to take advantage of the savings, as the woman shared how the Pampers were “reduced to clear.”

Some stores often reduce old stock to make way for new items and so reductions can vary from store to store.

Many parents seemed keen to rush to M&S to make the most of the purse-friendly deal.

One said: “I would have cleared the shelves!!!”

Another tagged her friend and said: “ go get us both some.”

A third wrote: “bargainnnn.”

Over the last few years, the prices of baby products have skyrocketed, leaving many cash-strapped parents increasingly worried and frustrated.

We recently shared how parents are going wild for “bargain” Pampers wipes after a giant box scanned at the till for just £8.

The box includes nine packs of 46 wipes and usually costs £18 – but a special deal meant one mum lucked out.

How to save cash on nappies

BUYING nappies and other baby items can be an expensive task, but parents are just realising there’s a trick that could save them cash.

If you’ve got a newborn or multiple little ones to look after, you can really see your outgoings go up.

One money saving mum was shocked to discover that she could have been saving money on nappies for years.

She posted her find on Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.

The mum wrote: “If you haven’t already and you have little ones still in nappies, then get the “Pampers Club App” downloaded.

“You can earn discount coupons and remember to use the code to redeem a £6 off coupon straight away.”

She wasn’t alone in discovering the deal, as the post racked up more than 30 comments from equally as surprised parents who were keen to share in the bargain.

One social media user wrote: “Wish I’d known about this when my boy was born.”

Another tagged their friend and said: “Have you looked into this?!”

A third added: “Ohhh yes gonna give it a go!”

Essentially, each pack of Pampers nappies you buy has a code on the inside of the box, if you scan that code on the Pampers Club app you get a stamp.

The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or from the Google Play store on Android.

You get one point per nappy in a pack so the larger the packs, the more points you’ll receive.

For example, if you scan a code inside a pack of 86 nappies, you’ll receive 86 points.

You can then redeem your points for coupons to redeem at retailers such as TescoAsdaBootsMorrisons or Sainsbury’s.

Plus, Pampers is currently offering £6 off Pampers nappies in Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Coop, or Boots.

She shared news of her dirt-cheap purchase on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.

She posted an image of the wipes and wrote: “Not sure if it’s all Asda’s reduced from £18 to £8.”

The post has racked up more than 40 likes and nearly 50 comments with many praising the mum.

“One person said “good find” while another wrote: “bargain!”.

Meanwhile, a money-smart mum revealed how fellow parents can get their hands on all the baby essentials, including nappies, for free.
