List: 2024 National Night Out events in central Ohio
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - A community building campaign with events across the country is returning to central Ohio.
National Night Out falls on the first Tuesday of August and is a campaign that focuses on promoting community partnerships while building strong relationships between local law enforcement and community members. Many communities in the U.S. are having events and activities while interacting with police agencies.
Below is a list of National Night Out events in central Ohio. Each will feature food, games, activities and more. Most of the events fall on Tuesday.
- Aug. 6 at Commonwealth Park from 5-8 p.m.
Downtown Columbus National Night Out
- Aug. 6 at 36 E. Gay St. from 4-6 p.m.
- Aug. 6 at Dublin Justice Center from 6-8 p.m.
Franklinton National Night Out
- Aug. 6 at Avondale School Yard from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Aug. 6 at Sunpoint Park from 6-8 p.m.
Grandview Heights National Night Out
- Aug. 6 at Wyman Woods Park from 5-8 p.m.
- Aug. 6 at 3359 Park St. from 6-8 p.m.
- Aug. 6 at Lakewood Park from 5:30-8 p.m.
- Aug. 6 at Grant Middle School from 6-9 p.m.
Near East Side National Night Out
- Aug. 6 at 1251 Bryden Rd from 6-8 p.m.
Reynoldsburg National Night Out
- Aug. 6 at JFK Park from 5-8 p.m.
South Central Hilltop National Night Out
- Aug. 10 at Burroughs Park from 1-4 p.m.
Upper Arlington National Night Out
- Aug. 6 at Fancyburg Park from 6-8 p.m.
Westerville National Night Out
- Aug. 6 at Huber Village Park from 5:30-8 p.m.
- Aug. 6 at Bishop Park from 5-8 p.m.
Worthington National Night Out
- Aug. 6 from 5-9 p.m. officers will be delivering ice cream to events or your home
