EMSA, OKC Animal Welfare team up for Flash Foster trip highlighting adoption opportunities

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma City Animal Welfare is teaming up with EMSA OKLAHOMA to highlight the needs of adoption through Flash Fostering.

On Tuesday, EMSA OKLAHOMA got a first-hand favorable moment with a boy dog named Chief. EMSA OKLAHOMA said, "Chief was absolutely amazing! He was the bestest boy and a huge hit with all of our EMSA medics and in-house Paramedic students. He is a huge cuddle bug, who just wants to be near people and be scratched. He is so mellow and was the perfect dog to bring in to help calm nerves before the big exam. In addition to stealing a little bit of lunch,
Chief definitely stole the hearts of several of our team members who want him as their own."

According to OKC Animal Welfare, Chief A436640 is an 8-year-old, 77-pound cattle dog/mastiff mix. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and free to adopt to his next forever home.

Flash Fostering is beneficial to our adoptable dogs, says OKC Animal Welfare officials by giving them a much-needed break from the kennels, and helps to get them adopted by learning about their personalities and getting them seen in places they wouldn't while here in the shelter.
