Team USA Tangles With Brazil To Open The Knockout Round
It’s win or go home time.
The knockout round in Olympic basketball starts Tuesday and the US opens with Brazil at 3:30 PM EST.
Obviously the Americans are going to be heavily favored but Brazil is dangerous. They rebound well and can heat up from outside, so you can never be certain.
Still, Team USA will be a heavy favorite. Winning by an average of 21.3 ppg will do that.
That’s the nightcap, so what about the other games?
Play opens at 5:00 AM EST with Germany and Greece. Serbia and the Boomers go at 8:30 followed by RJ Barrett and Canada taking on France at 12:00 noon.
Should the US advance, the semifinals are on Thursday.
