I transformed my ‘horrible’ green loo floor with stick-on tiles that are so easy to apply – even with zero DIY skills
A WOMAN has wowed social media users with her jaw-dropping loo makeover that anyone can do – even those with zero craft skills.
Crafty woman, who posts under the username @jesrosevinyl, took to TikTok where she proved you don’t need a fortune to give your home a brand new look.
What’s more, not only can homeowners zhuzh up their properties on the cheap – but her method is so easy, even DIY newbies can achieve stunning results.
The home interiors fanatic, who regularly shares home-related content on her page, decided to tackle the ”horrible” green tiles in her loo.
But instead of ripping the existing flooring apart and replacing it with a new layer, the woman came up with a cost-effective solution – using the on-trend peel-and-stick tiles.
A simple and purse-friendly alternative to new flooring or walls, vinyl wall tiles are easy to use, adding a polish to your space without having to worry about tiling a whole room.
Whether you’re after a modern aesthetic or a traditional finish, the market offers something for everyone’s taste, and shoppers can find them at major retailers like B&Q or order from Amazon.
In her video, the DIY fanatic opted for the product from Jes Rose, where the stunning black and white Astral Star tiles are up for grabs for as little as £6.
These tiles, the website said, are also hardwearing, water-resistant, reusable, designed to last and boast ”premium thickness” measuring at 2mm.
Showcasing the jaw-dropping transformation, the woman said: ”Today’s mission was transforming this horrible green floor with these beautiful peel-and-stick tiles.
”I went straight in and used this nifty little tool the toilet shape on the backing paper – […] then I stuck it to the tile, traced around it and I literally cut it out.
”This tool is an absolute game-changer,” the craft enthusiast praised the bargain.
Once the area around the toilet was done, she went in with the remaining tiles, occasionally measuring and cutting them around the wall to ensure a neat fit.
The makeover was completed with waterproof silicone she’d snapped from B&Q, around £3, to protect the floor as people are washing their hands and keep ”the mess” at bay.
”It just finishes it off, looks really nice,” the woman said, adding she was ”obsessed” with how the affordable glow-up had turned out.
It’s not just the team at Fabulous that are loving the results – so are the people on social media, who flocked to comments to praise her work.
