Fighting intensifies in Eastern DR Congo despite ceasefire agreement

In DR Congo, the Angolan-mediated ceasefire in North Kivu province did not last 24 hours. Rwanda-backed M23 rebels took control of a town on the Ugandan border on Sunday August 4, the day the truce came into effect.
