Shock moment hammer-wielding man smashes driver’s car window in middle of a junction in road rage row
SHOCKING dash-cam footage captured the moment a man armed with a hammer smashes a driver’s back window in an intense road rage row.
The incident occurred yesterday in the middle of a busy London junction in front of stunned pedestrians.
The footage was shared on X, formerly Twitter, with the caption: “This is why you never argue with a tradesman in traffic in London.”
In the video, the driver of the BMW appears to get out of his car, open the boot and reach for a bag.
He then ran over to the tradesman, who was standing in front of his van, and engaged in a heated exchange
With his hand still in the bag, the BMW driver appeared to strike the unsuspecting tradesman over the head.
After hitting the unaware worker, he sprints back to his car to drive off.
However, the video shows the tradesman opening the side door of his van to pick up a tool.
Moments later, he’s captured sprinting over to the parked BMW armed with a hammer.
The driver desperately tried to get back in his car to flee but wasn’t quick enough to escape the tradesman’s wrath.
The dramatic dash-cam footage shows the armed handyman flying into the shot and smashing the BMW’s rear window.
He had two swipes at the back of the car destroying any glass left on the back of the motor.
The BMW lurches forward a couple of inches before the tradesman walks off still tightly gripping the hammer.
It is unclear what started the row between the two.
The video circulating on social media has been viewed over 95,000 times and has received hundreds of likes and comments.
One user commented: “Roadrage is crazy.
“People really fighting each other’s cars and not each other.”
This confused viewer asked; “I don’t get it. What did he put in the guy’s van?”
A user responded: “Nothing, he lumped him over the skull with a hammer, put the hammer back in his bag and then into his own boot.”
The Sun has approached the Met Police for comment.
