Iran’s promised retaliation could see regional proxies playing a greater role

Iran-backed militias in the region, both Sunni and Shia, including Houthis in Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon among others, could move in from the sidelines of the ongoing war on Gaza as Tehran plans to seek revenge for the suspected Israeli strike that killed Hamas political chief on its soil.
