Makri completes Olympic presence 30th

Marilena Makri completed the Paris Olympics ranking 30th with 195 points.

Things didn’t go as planned for the 21-year-old sailor. Strong winds and her light weight did not help.

“The race didn’t work out for me at all. It was one of my worst,” Makri said in statements.

However, she said she was “very happy for my state of mind, my nutrition, the way I handled the Olympic Games and my race.”

“Every day I tried to do the best for Marilena. It didn’t work out. Many mistakes were made. I am here to learn and I am happy that I was at the Olympics for a second time. I feel good with myself,” she added.
