‘Google is a monopolist’: Search giant broke antitrust law in landmark case, judge rules

Judge Amit Mehta sided the Justice Department, which argued throughout the landmark trial that Goggle has relied on anticompetitive payments with the likes of Apple and AT&T – including $26.3 billion in 2021 alone – to ensure its search engine is enabled by default on most smartphones.
