Lafourche Parish husband, wife charged in child sexual abuse case
CUT OFF, La. (WGNO) — A Lafourche Parish couple has been arrested and is facing several criminal charges including rape following a child sexual abuse investigation.
According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, it began to investigate 34-year-old Jorden Theriot and 33-year-old Jennie Theriot, both of Cut Off, after receiving a complaint of possible sexual abuse involving more than one child.
As the investigation continued, deputies said they obtained search warrants for two homes and during the search, they reported finding 14 guns with "a large amount of ammunition," along with several types of narcotics and additional evidence.
The two were arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex.
Jorden was charged with two counts of first-degree rape, pornography involving juveniles, 14 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, obstruction of justice and possession of Valium, Xanax, morphine and marijuana. His bail is set at $820,500.
Jennie was charged with two counts of principal to first-degree rape, pornography involving juveniles, indecent behavior with juveniles, 14 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, obstruction of justice and possession of Valium, Xanax, morphine and marijuana. Her bail is set at $1,245,500, and she is also being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole due to a probation violation.
