Affordable housing lottery opens in the Rockaways
FAR ROCKAWAY, Queens (PIX11) – A new affordable housing lottery has opened for a building in Far Rockaway, just a few subway stops from Rockaway Beach.
The affordable housing lottery is for the 18-26 Redfern Avenue Apartments at 18- 26 Redfern Avenue.
The building has 58 available units, including studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Some of the building’s amenities include 24-hour security, bike storage lockers, a common courtyard, and a shared laundry room.
Rent also includes all utilities.
The building is just a short walk from the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue subway station and the Far Rockaway station along the Long Island Rail Road.
The property is listed on the NYC Housing Connect website, an online portal where people can find and apply for affordable housing opportunities in New York City.
Applications for the 18-26 Redfern Avenue Apartments will remain open until Sept. 24. The eligible income range is $48,309 - $100,620.
