Body in shopping cart set on fire in Yonkers: Police

YONKERS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Officials found a body that had been put in a shopping cart and set on fire in Yonkers early Monday morning, according to the Yonkers Police Department.

Officials responded to a fire near the Oak Street bridge around 2 a.m. and found a body on the sidewalk once the fire was extinguished, police said.

Police determined the body had been put in a shopping cart and set on fire near the bridge, officials said.

Police have not made any arrests Monday.
