'What in the actual ...?' CNN anchor flips over latest 'freak show' election story
Anchor Kasie Hunt and fellow CNN panelists lost their cool Monday morning over a new development in the "freak show" that is the 2024 presidential election campaign cycle.
Surprisingly, the story does not involve Donald Trump.
"I can't believe that this is a story that we're telling," Hunt told viewers Monday morning. "What in the actual ef is this?"
"This," as Hunt soon reveals, is the news that independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. confessed to a decade-old cold case in New York City that centered on a "possibly murdered" body of a bear cub found in Central Park.
Kennedy revealed it was he who placed the bear in the Manhattan park in a conversation with former television star Roseanne Barr that was filmed and released by his campaign.
An apparently sympathetic Barr listens in as Kennedy explains what he did when, returning from a falconing trip on his way to Peter Luger's steakhouse, he saw a car in front of him fatally strike the cub.
"I pulled over and I picked up the bear and put him in the back of my van," Kennedy explains. "Because I was gonna skin the bear and, it was in very good condition, I was going to put the meat in my refrigerator."

Hunt responded by throwing her hands up in the air and begging her co-panelists to explain what exactly was happening.
"What is this?" she asked. Replied co-panelist Edward-Isaac Dovere, "It's the 2024 presidential election."
Laughter erupted.
"Freak show candidacy," replied Matt Gorman, former senior adviser to Sen. Tim Scott's presidential campaign.
"The whole thing is so bizarre," added Meghan Hays, former special assistant to President Joe Biden, "and screams privilege."
