Panic in Canary Island as new Gran Canaria plan set to 'devastate' holiday hotspot

Protest groups against mass tourism on the island have called on politicians to immediately halt development plans that would see the construction of over 129,000 new tourist beds, effectively doubling the current capacity of the island.
