Urgent: Japan's Nikkei down over 10 pct in record intraday plunge

TOKYO, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Japan's benchmark Nikkei Stock Average on Monday saw its biggest intraday plunge on record by briefly falling more than 4,000 points, or 10 percent.

This refreshed the previous record drop of 3,836 points in the "Black Monday" crash in 1987.
