Wizards, Magic and fantasy brought to life in North Topeka
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Fans of all things wizards, magic, and fantasy joined for the third annual Station 9 3/4 weekend at Great Overland Station.
Shawnee County Parks and Recreation transformed the place into a magical train station that offers all things magic. The annual event had everything from wizard wand training, to fairy tea parties to food trucks with themed food and beverages.
One organizer tells us this event is all about the "wow" factor.
"You go into the elevator shaft and you're put into the middle of a cave. You go upstairs and you've got an underwater scene," Mark Arganbright said. "You head to the hallway and you have a fairy tea party to see an amazing magician. Or you get a lecture from one of the writers from MythBusters."
If you missed out on the magic this year, cast a spell on your calendars for Mother's Day Weekend 2025 for the fourth annual Station 9 3/4 Event.
