Little peaks for the keen

0

Hello Friends,

Overcast skies for Monday morning along with another click down in energy levels. Waves were in the waist high range on sets but you’ll be looking for a peak along the beach because the point seemed to be missing out. Wind was coming faintly from the WNW at 0700 and is only due to hit 10 kts later. The MHL buoy was detecting 1.3 metres of 10 second east swell at 0600. Water’s clean and 16 C  on a day when we can expect a high of 18 a reasonable possibility of a light shower or two late. Tide hit a modest 1.3 metre high at 0820.

While there might possibly be a little wave tomorrow morning, if the GFS model is correct, by Wednesday it’ll be unsurfably tiny. If the supercomputers are right, it’ll stay marginal to flat into early next week.

Have yourself a great Monday everyone!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over New South Wales will reach the Tasman Sea on Monday while a broad trough develops over the state’s west. This trough is expected to bring southerly winds to the southern waters from later Monday night and the remainder of the coast on Tuesday as it moves east. After this, a new high pressure system is forecast to develop to the west and then drift across the coast mid-week.
