Team USA's uniforms were the best in the 2024 Olympics men’s golf event. Here are the three best and three worst uniforms.

The men’s golf competition is officially over, as Team USA secured Gold for the second straight Olympics.

Scottie Scheffler fired a 9-under 61 to add a Gold medal to his growing trophy collection.

Tommy Fleetwood won Silver for Great Britain and Hideki Matsuyama won bronze for Team Japan.

I’m not here to talk about their physical performance at Le Golf National, though. The Olympics are also a great time for fashion.

It is interesting to see the outfits athletes get for the Olympics because they have the opening ceremony look, a medal ceremony tracksuit and what they wear for competition.

However, this article will solely focus on competition wear.

Remember, golf fashion is subjective. No answer is correct; it is all about the person’s perspective.

After looking at all 32 represented countries, I found the best three and the worst three team uniforms.

The only change in rankings is that we will award the best-dressed side, like in the Olympics, with a Gold, Silver and Bronze.

These six were hand-picked by me, the Playing Through golf fashion expert. Let’s look at the three best and three worst uniforms.

The 3 best team uniforms at the 2024 Olympics

Bronze: Team New Zealand

The two New Zealand golfers, Ryan Fox and Daniel Hillier, wore simple white and black outfits for the week. They went with the more classic look, but it had meaning behind it. If you look closely, you will see a feather on the polo and hat. This symbol represents the country’s rugby team, The All Blacks.

I awarded them the Bronze medal because I loved that they chose to honor a team from their country.

Silver: Team Ireland

Team Ireland earned the silver medal in team uniforms because they stayed patriotic without going overboard. Green, White and Orange are the Irish flag colors, and that is what Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry wore.

The brand they sported also included navy blue, which was why they got silver. While it is not one of the national colors, it goes well with all three.

Not to mention, McIlroy’s shoes are so cool! He looks like a trendy Irish flag without it looking too loud. Plus, pairing that soft green polo, the navy pants, the white and orange shoes, and a white hat balanced it all.

Gold: Team USA

Team USA changed up their wardrobe for the 2024 Olympics. Usually, they wear Ralph Lauren, one of the country's most iconic brands, but J. Lindeberg got the nod this year.

Fans were not excited about the Swedish clothing company designing for Team USA. Many felt they should wear an American label. I understand why many felt this way, but J. Lindeberg did a fantastic job channeling patriotism without looking similar to years past.

For the last few years, the national team clothing for the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup has felt too similar and outdated. Not this collection, though. It’s bold and trendy without getting gaudy. Hate it all you want, but it was one of the most unique collections among all 32 countries.

Sunday’s team outfit was one of my favorites. The navy pants with the red and white stripes down the side were different from everyone else's. Their Red, White and Blue polo was classic and not too much. Plus, many of the pieces were not too wild.

J. Lindeberg tailored the clothing perfectly to each player, which earned them bonus points.

The 3 worst team uniforms at the 2024 Olympics

3. Team Norway

Team Norway ranks No. 3 on the worst uniforms list because of this polo. Viktor Hovland rarely wears things I do not like, but this polo is flat-out ugly. We’ve seen this pattern numerous times in the past few weeks. The Olympics should feature special outfits to represent their homelands, so why did Puma roll this out for Team Norway?

Regardless, my opinion has not changed – it is still tacky.

Why does it have a different color collar?

It appears Puma wanted to do a Nordic pattern, but once they put the golf clubs, tees and balls on the polo, it immediately gave ugly Christmas sweater vibes. Adding those golf elements makes me take it less seriously. We get it — they play golf. I probably would not hate the shirt so much if they left those symbols off.

2. Team Canada

Team Canada is next because their competition clothing was all over the place. They had a polka dot polo with bright red pants, a 20-shade gray outfit, and some loud red and black camo.

Whoever styled this team did not execute it well. Team Canada has guys like Nick Taylor, who usually look pretty sharp when they tee it up on the PGA Tour. I’m all for team colors, but this is too much. It is out of style and tacky.

I saw too many red tops and white bottoms this week (including Team USA), which made everything run together. It felt like brands were lackadaisical about scripting.

1. Team Australia

The worst uniforms of the week are, hands down, Team Australia’s. Someone help the Aussies out with their clothing because this is hideous. It is so bright that it could blind someone if the sun reflects off it just right.

Jason Day normally looks phenomenal on the course in his Malbon Golf attire, but his Team Australian outfit is hideous. The colors clash, and the pattern is just out of date. Asics should have provided a high-crowned visor instead of this low one. Day looks like he is wearing one of those crazy football visors with spiky hair built into it.

Min Woo Lee also got washed out in this color. He is another person who looks typically fantastic, and these options were horrendous. They did not fit him correctly, and that was just the cherry on top of why they have the worst team uniforms.

Team Australia needs a makeover!
