Jennifer Tilly Is Bringing Back the Mermaidcore Trend With This Bejeweled Selfie

Jennifer Tilly can rock any aesthetic, including the beloved summer core trend: the mermaidcore look.

On Aug 3, Tilly shared a drop-dead gorgeous selfie to her Instagram, sharing the photo with the caption reading, “Speak softly and wear a big hat…”

Tilly looks amazing in this selfie, looking like the Queen of the mermaidcore trend with this intricate ensemble. In this selfie, we see fashionista Tilly having fun in the sun at the beach, donning a colorful, sheer top, as well as a large sunhat, a bold gold ring, and the oceanic Dolce & Gabbana Capri Sunglasses in Gold. From the long flowing hair to her detailed, mermaid-esque jewelry, she’s absolutely nailed this trend (and it’s not the first time she’s done so)!

Back in Feb 2023, Tilly turned heads while partying with one of her buddies and co-stars, Christine Elise McCarthy, while rocking a sparkling blue dress that screams “mermaidcore!”

Truly, Tilly never forgets the accessories. She knows how to rock her looks, rather than let them wear her. (She does this by utilizing her impressive jewelry collection!)

“Every day I have jewelry on, it makes me really happy. You can wear long chains with jeans or funky vintage dresses,” she said in a super-rare interview with the Hollywood Reporter. “I also design jewelry but just for myself. I was obsessed with eyes, and I designed a queen of hearts ring.”
