Rohit Sharma Threatens To Beat Washington Sundar Hilariously During SL Vs IND 2nd ODI – WATCH
Colombo: India captain Rohit Sharma is known to be a character on the cricket field. On Sunday, during the second ODI against Sri Lanka, the Indian skipper entertained everyone at the stadium as he stormed towards off-spinner Washington Sundar in a hilarious way, the video of which went viral. The incident took place during the 33rd over of Sri Lanka’s batting when Sundar pulled himself up for the second time.
Following Janith Liyanage’s caught-behind appeal was turned down by the TV umpire, Sundar withdrew himself while bowling the second ball of the over. In the next ball, the right-arm spinner seemed to slip on his run-up as he pulled himself up once again for safety, much to Rohit’s frustration.
However, the Indian captain, who recently won the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean, ran towards Sundar as if he would beat him up before bursting into a laugh along with his other teammates.

Meanwhile, a formidable bowling performance from India saw Sri Lanka ending up at 240/9 in the second ODI on Sunday. Avishka Fernando (40 off 62 balls) and Kamindu Mendis (40 off 44 balls) were the top scorers for them, while Washington Sundar (3/30) nailed it for the tourists.
Electing to bat, the hosts began on a slow note, managing 42 runs in the opening powerplay for the loss of a wicket. It was only by the 25th over that the Lankans brought up their 100, having lost three wickets.
The slow nature of the pitch, coupled with some stern Indian bowling, allowed the Lions to manage only 119 for five by the 40th over. Dunith Wellalage (39 off 35 balls) and Mendis attempted to accelerate in the final 10 overs as Lanka added some more runs to the total.
