BSP doesn't agree with Supreme Court's verdict allowing sub-classification within SCs, says Mayawati

BSP chief Mayawati voiced her opposition to the Supreme Court's decision allowing states to create sub-classes within Scheduled Castes for reservations. She asserted that SCs and STs have historically faced discrimination as a whole group, hence subclassification is inappropriate. The court's ruling aims to aid the most socially and educationally backward groups within SCs.
