One person dead after a shooting in southeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is dead following a shooting outside a Sunoco gas station at Noe Bixby Road and Refugee Road.

Police said the victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition after officers were called to the scene at 6:53 p.m. Officers said the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital at 7:22 p.m.

Police said officers remained on the scene to interview witnesses in search of a suspect. There is no current information about a suspect, and the investigation is on going, police said.
