Man attacked on a subway train at Columbus Circle station: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are investigating an assault on a subway train at a station in Manhattan on Saturday, July 27.

The incident happened at around 4:47 a.m. at Columbus Circle, according to the NYPD.

The victim was on a northbound 2 train when an unidentified individual punched him in the face multiple times, police said.

Another individual took the victim's wallet and they fled the train.

The NYPD is searching for four suspects in connection to the assault. Police released surveillance images of the suspects.

The victim sustained a laceration and swelling to the face, police said.
