Troopers: Cambridge man arrested for ghost gun possession
CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Troopers arrested a Cambridge man for allegedly possessing two ghost guns on Wednesday. Troopers said Cian S. Nolan, 22, was charged with second and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon along with traffic violations.
Troopers said Nolan was injured in a car crash on Route 372 in Jackson on Thursday, July 18, and police found an unserialized loaded handgun and illegal high-capacity magazine in the vehicle. Nolan was transported to Saratoga Hospital for treatment and an evaluation.
Troopers said they stopped Nolan on Wednesday, July 31, for vehicle and traffic violations on Route 327 in Easton and arrested him for the July 18 incident. Troopers added that they found another ghost gun in his vehicle.
Nolan was processed at the State Police barracks in Greenwich and held in Washington County Jail until his arraignment. Troopers said they are investigating where the ghost guns were sourced from.
