Israeli army says airstrikes in northern West Bank kill 9 Palestinian militants

Israel's army says two Israeli airstrikes in the northern West Bank Satruday killed nine Palestinian militants. The army said its forces first struck a vehicle carrying five militants in a rural area northwest of the city of Tulkarem in the northwest West Bank early Saturday morning. It said the occupants were on their way to carry out an attack. Hamas later claimed all five as members, identifying one as a local commanders. Later Saturday, the Israel’s military said its killed four more Palestinian militants in the Tulkarem area. The Palestinian Health Ministry says over 590 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire in the West Bank since the Israel-Hamas war erupted in Gaza in October.
