MOGADISHU, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Somali leaders on Saturday called on security agencies to remain vigilant following a brutal attack by al-Shabab fighters at a popular beachside hotel in the Somali capital of Mogadishu Friday night.

The attack by a suicide bomber targeting Lido Beach View, the hotel, left at least 35 people dead and 126 others wounded, according to Police spokesperson Abdifitah Aden Hassan.
