Bulgarians Mark Ilinden: Honoring Saint Elijah and Reflecting on Historical Uprising

Ilinden, celebrated on August 2 according to the old calendar, honors the Holy Prophet Elijah. Recognized by Christians as one of the greatest biblical prophets, Elijah is also considered one of the two most significant figures of the Old Testament, alongside Moses.
