Carrie Underwood Explains Her 'Big Problem' With Becoming a Judge on 'American Idol'
Carrie Underwood is the next judge on American Idol and she’s opening up about the “big problem” she thinks she’ll have while sitting at the panel.
The 41-year-old singer and former Idol champ spoke out while appearing on Good Morning America on Friday (August 1) in New York City.

“I do have a big problem … I can’t lie. I just can’t,” Carrie said. “I feel like I’ll be very honest but hopefully constructive and encouraging.”
She added that she won’t be “too tough” and joked that you can “just ask my kids.”

“It feels like home,” she added. “There are so many people that even still work on the show that were there when I was a contestant. I feel like being on both sides of the coin, I’ll be able to hopefully offer some insight, and help.”
