Peguero was the only Mets pitcher on the night that didn’t give up a run. He has 53 strikeouts in 37 innings this season between the FCL and St. Lucie Mets.
Writer’s note: There will be a post-FCL league beginning on August 8 that will be comprised of the Mets, Astros, Cardinals, Nationals, and Marlins. It will give 2024 draft picks a place to play in games with the normal Florida Complex League ending earlier than previously this season.
