"World's first fretless guitar rockstar" to play free show in Buffalo Aug. 7
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Ned Evett, "the king of the fretless glass guitar" will be bringing his unique style of guitar-playing to Buffalo next week for a free show at the Revolution Gallery Lounge as part of a three-show run in New York State, which includes shows in Syracuse and Rochester on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
Evett, the winner of the 2003 North American Rock Guitar Competition, which was hosted at the University at Buffalo, is making his return to the region after 20 years.
He will be performing songs from his upcoming record, "Strange Kind of Freedom," as well as his 12 prior releases. He will be performing as part of a trio in Syracuse and Rochester, but will play solo at the Buffalo show.
The show is set to begin at 6 p.m., with doors at 5:30 at Revolution's 1419 Hertel Ave. location. The event will also feature a happy hour, which begins at 6.
