Patrick Dempsey’s Tribute to His Wife for Their 25th Anniversary Proves He’s Even Dreamier in Real Life

If you’ve ever watched Grey’s Anatomy, Enchanted, or the rom-com classic Maid of Honor, then you know just how dreamy Patrick Dempsey is. But while his characters might have us daydreaming, it seems Patrick in real life might be even more romantic.

On August 1, Patrick posted a sweet tribute to his longtime wife, Jillian Dempsey, in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary.

“25 years, it feels like just yesterday!” Grey’s Anatomy‘s McDreamy wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of their wedding day. “I can’t get over how quickly the time has gone by.”

“Life would not be the same without you, your vision, your kindness, your compassion, your love, your sexiness, your intelligence, your warmth, your friendship, your wisdom,” he continued. “The love of my life, I’m truly grateful for all that you do and who you are. You’re an incredible mother, wife, friend, and partner @jilliandempsey.”

Jillian, who’s a professional makeup artist and beauty founder, also shared some sweet words about her hubby.

“Happy 25th baby @patrickdempsey!” she wrote on Instagram next to the same picture of them exchanging rings. “Vintage moments to cherish. I love you beyond words & our wonderful children.”

“*I’m also thrilled we’ve made it to an actual big number on a Hallmark card! ????????????” she joked.

Also in the post was a throwback Polaroid picture of Patrick with “First Date” written right under it. What can we say, it seems like she knew he was the real deal from the very beginning!

In the comments, fans of the couple can be seen swooning over their sweet tributes. “So sweet! Happy anniversary you two! Wishing you all the best! It’s beautiful to see you being so in love and happy ♥️,” wrote one commenter. “You really married our McDreamy????❤️????,” wrote another one.

The Dempseys, who got married back in 1999 and share three kids together Talula, 22, Darby and Sullivan, 17, have always been candid about their instant connection.

When asked about when he knew she was “The One” last year, Patrick didn’t hesitate. “The moment I saw her,” he told People. “I went in where she was working, and I looked across the room at her and was blown away.”

“I love the cold and rain and she loves the sun and beach. We’re complete opposites and I have to say, she’ll make me do s– I never want to do and 9 times out of 10 she’s absolutely correct,” he said of their relationship. “So she puts up with me.”
