Rohit Sharma breaks world record for most sixes as captain in international cricket

Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma returned to the international stage with a bang as during India’s first ODI match of the series against Sri Lanka at Colombo, he hit 3 sixes in his innings of 58, he broke England captain Eoin Morgan’s world-record for hitting the most sixes as a captain in international cricket.

Morgan had hit 233 sixes as England’s captain in 180 innings. Now Rohit has broken that record by hitting 234 sixes as India’s captain in just 134 innings.

Rohit started India’s innings with a six and four in the first over after Sri Lanka posted a 230-run total while batting first.

In his innings, he hit 7 boundaries and 3 sixes and alongside Shubman Gill gave India a fantastic start in the chase.
