Frenchman Jules Bouyer was a home hero in more ways than one as he went viral for his “out there” outfit.

Viewers joked his trunks were “working overtime” and one claimed extra-buoyant Bouyer was the “only reason I love the Olympics“.

A third observer described him as “undeniably my big crush of these Olympics”.

A fourth pleaded with him to “save me, save me”.

And a fifth viewer revealed: “One academic topic in which I am extremely interested now is Bouyer.

“I find this subject very intellectually rewarding & intriguing. This subject is something I think many others would also enjoy studying. “

The 22-year-old’s team-mate Alexis Jandard, 27, has also emerged as a fan-favourite for being easy on the eye for more than just his diving technique.

The duo were frustrated to finish only fifth in the final of the men’s pair’s synchronised 3m springboard diving final in Saint-Denis at Paris 2024.
