Extremely hot and mostly quiet today, scattered storms on Saturday

The extremely hot and mostly quiet weather rolls on for Acadiana today. A few spots are already "feeling like" the 90s this morning. Highs today should return into the upper 90s with a heat index from 110° to 115° during the hottest part of the day. Only a stray shower or storm is possible too.

Temperatures will get back into the upper 90s on Saturday followed by a round of scattered showers and storms after 3:00 pm. Sunday looks a little "cooler" with isolated rain chances.
