Mohawks take game one of PGCBL championship series

ELMIRA, NY (NEWS10) -- The Amsterdam Mohawks entered Thursday night two wins away from their third straight PGCBL championship. The best-of-three series with the Elmira Pioneers got underway Thursday night in Elmira.

The Mohawks jumped out to a 3-1 lead. They never looked back, on their way to a 7-2 series-opening win.

The Mohawks will host the Pioneers on Friday at 4:00 PM. A victory would earn them the PGCBL Championship. If they lose, they'll play immediately afterwards to determine a champion.
