Wizz Air adds Larnaca-Cairo route
Low-cost carrier Wizz Air is set to launch a new route from Larnaca to Cairo on October 29, according to an announcement released on Friday.
The airline said that “the new route will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with tickets starting from 35.99 euros, available for purchase on the Wizz Air website and mobile app”.
With this addition, “Wizz Air becomes the first low-cost airline to offer flights between Larnaca and Cairo”.
Moreover, the airline stated that “this new route strengthens the airline’s position in Cyprus, which recently celebrated reaching 8 million passengers to and from Larnaca Airport”.
Furthermore, the announcement mentioned that last month, Cyprus officially joined other countries in which the airline offers its Wizz MultiPass.
The airline explained that “this is the first subscription-based flight plan in Europe, allowing passengers to lock in the price of their ticket and baggage for an entire 12-month period”.
“This new route demonstrates Wizz Air’s commitment to offering affordable and sustainable travel options, aiming to facilitate greater cultural exchange between Cyprus and Egypt,” the airline concluded.
