Clear and windy with afternoon clouds

Friday will start off clear with increased clouds in the afternoon, mainly in the mountains. Temperatures will rise to 39C inland, 36C on the south and east coasts, 33C on the north coast, 31C on the west coast, and 29C in the higher mountains. Winds will be south-to north-westerly, initially weak to moderate up to 4 Beaufort, gradually turning to strong, up to 5 Beaufort and on the south coast, very strong, up to 6 Beaufort. The sea will be rough.

Overnight will be clear with periodic low clouds, mainly in the west. Temperatures will drop to 24C in the interior and the coasts, and 20C in the higher mountains. Winds will remain south-to north-westerly, weak, up to 3 Beaufort and transiently moderate, up to 3 Beaufort. The sea will remain somewhat rough.

The weekend will be mainly clear with afternoon clouds in some regions and temperatures will hold steady, slightly above average for the season.
