Colonie man arrested on gun, meth charges
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Colonie Police announced the arrest of Hardeep Singh, 52, following an investigation on Schuyler Lane on Wednesday night. Singh now faces weapon and drug charges.
On July 31 around 11:46 p.m., officers responded to Schuyler Lane after receiving reports of suspicious activity in the area. Upon arrival, police located Singh, who matched the description of the suspect.
While being interviewed by officers, Singh was allegedly found to have a loaded .38 caliber handgun and a significant amount of meth with him. According to police, Singh is homeless and did not have a permit for the weapon.
Singh was then taken into custody and was charged with criminal possession of meth with intent to sell and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned at the Colonie Town Court before being remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility, with bail set at $25,000.
