MLB Releases 2024 Playoff Schedule
Mark your calendars. If the Mets (57-51) make the playoffs as a Wild Card, Game 1 will be on Tuesday, Oct. 1 on an ESPN platform, according to the MLB postseason schedule released Thursday.
Oct. 1 will feature four Game 1 Wild Card games, two in each league, all on ESPN platforms. The Wild Card round continues with four Game 2s the next day and concludes on Oct. 3 if any games are necessary in the best-of-3 series.
The ALDS and NLDS contests will start on Saturday, Oct. 5, with broadcasts switching to TBS, truTV, and Max for the American League and FOX and FS1 for the National League.
The NLCS will begin Sunday, Oct. 13 (FOX, FS1), and the ALCS will begin Monday, Oct. 14 (TBS, truTV, Max).
The World Series will air on FOX starting Friday, Oct. 25, and if it goes seven games, it will conclude on Saturday, Nov. 2.
Some dates may be subject to change if the series is cut short. The schedule release noted that the World Series could be moved up to as early as Oct. 22 if both LCS were done by Oct. 19.
