India allows essential commodity export to Maldives via 2 more ports

India has approved the export of essential commodities to Maldives from Kandla and Vishakhapatnam seaports, bringing the total to six ports for the fiscal year 2024-25. This decision comes amidst diplomatic tensions and follows the lifting of export restrictions on nine products, requested by the Maldivian government earlier this year.
