Paris 2024 is ‘most star-studded Olympics ever’ with A-list celebs such as Tom Cruise and Ariana Grande in attendance
IF you are a Hollywood A-lister or music megastar, a ticket to watch an event at Paris 2024 is a must.
That is why these Games have been the most star-studded ever.
In just a week, we’ve seen movie heroes, pop singers, film directors and even a famous fashion magazine editor taking in all the drama.
Some have even taken centre stage over cherished athletes as they watch from the stands.
SunSport rounds up the celebrities in the French capital enjoying the Olympics.
Opening ceremony
Paris 2024 started off with a bang with the opening ceremony and a little bit of controversy.
Viewers saw Lady Gaga open proceedings with a brilliant cabaret act she’s perfected at her Las Vegas shows.
However, one snag was her performance was pre-recorded because of the adverse weather conditions.
Punters and celebs watching got drenched in the rain, but that didn’t put them off.
Actors Zac Efron and Zendaya were spotted by photographers by the Seine.
The Bear star Jeremy Allen-White was also in attendance, as was tennis legend Serena Williams, who rode down the Seine as a torch-bearer on a boat, looking like she was about to puke.
The rain eased for everyone to enjoy Celine Dion belting out Edith Piaf’s Hymne à l’Amour from the Eiffel Tower.
It set the tone and gave us a teaser for who was to be seen next.
Tom Cruise
Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, is the hottest ticket around, and she brought the big hitters to the stands.
None come bigger than Top Gun actor Tom Cruise, who parked himself in the posh seats with Barbie director Greta Gerwig and Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav.
But before doing so, he was unsurprisingly mobbed by fans.
The ever-obliging Cruise, who was also spied getting very excited at the women’s 4x100m freestyle relay swimming event, stopped and took a bit of time to pose for a series of selfies before watching Biles in action.
And he wasn’t the only one.

Arianna Grande, Cynthia Erivo and the gymnastics posse
No doubt Arianna Grande and Cynthia Erivo had a Wicked time too at the Artistic Gymnastics Women’s Qualification on day two of the prestigious event.
The stars of the hit musical dressed like their characters from the upcoming film – with Grande in a pink frock and Erivo in green dress.
Their stylish attire was noted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who greeted The Boy is Mine songstress with a kiss.
Grande, who is rarely seen in public, also took her brother Frankie out for the occasion.
Oscar-winner Jessica Chastain made time in her busy schedule to cheer on Biles alongside her two children.
Notable mentions also go to Nicole Kidman who appeared transfixed by Team USA’s gymnastics team.
Queen Latifah, who wore her country’s colours in support and pride, was also there to watch gymnastics royalty in action.
While five-time Olympian and world renowned skateboarder Shaun White was in attendance with girlfriend Vampire Diaries beauty Nina Dobrev.

The musician’s union
Giving as good as the thesps are pop music’s finest.
They too were enthused by Biles and her colleagues.
R&B crooner John Legend was joined by his wife Chrissy Teigen, in what was a real family affair with their four kids in tow.
Lady Gaga, braving the unfair criticism she got for not performing live, stuck around in Paris to watch wearing a fetching Team USA top, alongside fiancé Michael Polansky.
The gymnastics may have been the draw, but tell that to rapper Snoop Dogg.
Not content with carrying the torch and getting a swimming lesson from Michael Phelps, The Drop It Like It’s Hot star has been everywhere, including at the basketball whooping loudly for LeBron James, Steph Curry and Co.
Rather brilliantly, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger – who knows a thing or two about attending major live sporting events – was seen with lookalike son Deveraux, 8, taking in the fencing.

It just shows they are used to seeing things put to the sword.
