South Glens Falls restaurant under new ownership

SOUTH GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- After 33 years, the Peppermill Family Restaurant has new owners. Jennie and Chris Dore officially took over the restaurant on July 12.

Previous owners John and Vicky Osakowicz, who founded the Peppermill in 1990, retired. Chris Dore is a professionally trained chef with over 25 years of experience and Jennie has worked as a server in several restaurants and owns her own business, Jennie Dore Nutrition and Wellness.

"Right now, we are keeping everything the same, and we are fortunate to continue working with the current staff and customer base," said the Dores.

The Peppermill has menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as daily specials. The menus feature omelets, pancakes, sandwiches, wraps, salads, burgers, wings, Italian dishes, seafood dishes, steaks, and more. You can view the full menus on the Peppermill website.

The Peppermill is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday through Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. The restaurant, located at 110 Main Street in South Glens Falls, offers takeout or dine-in.

"They have created a great thing and we look forward to carrying on this legacy," said the Dores. "We are listening to feedback and will look at the next steps to enhance what is already working well."
