SP: Man displayed BB gun in Colonie road rage incident
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Massachusetts man was arrested and is accused of displaying a BB gun during a road rage incident in Colonie. John Ladue, 56, Westfield, faces multiple charges.
On Sunday, around 10:15 a.m., troopers responded to I-87 in Colonie for reports of a road rage incident. During the incident, police say Ladue drove recklessly and displayed what appeared to be a handgun, pointed at another car involved.
Police say the gun was later identified as a BB gun. The other car involved had a passenger under 16 at the time of the alleged crime.
Charges:
- Second-degree menacing
- Second-degree reckless endangerment
- Endangering the welfare of a child
- Multiple car and traffic law violations
Ladue was found at his Massachusetts home by Westfield Police where he admitted to being involved in the incident. He voluntarily responded to Latham State Police where he was arrested and processed. He was released on an appearance ticket and is set to return to the Colonie Town Court on August 7.
