Love Island stars reunite at awards show – after ITV snubbed them for live final
LOVE Island stars reunited for a glam awards show last night after ITV snubbed them from the live final on Monday.
A number of Casa Amor stars and Love Island bombshells got dressed to the nines for the National Reality TV Awards on Wednesday.
There were a number of missing faces on Monday’s show[/caption]It comes just days after Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan scooped the £50,000 Love Island cash prize after winning the series.
Last night Casa Amor’s Blade Siddiqi, Jake Spivey, Lionel Awudu and Ellie Jackson reunited with bombshells Konnor Ewudzi and Tiffany Leighton in London.
They all were seen posing for a photo at the Porchester Hall.
Tiffany glammed up in a plunging turquoise dress, while the lads looked dapper in their suits.
During the final, host Maya Jama welcomed back some familiar faces to the show, but there was some Islanders missing.
A number of Casa Amor Islanders and bombshells did not feature in the final and appeared to have not been invited back.
Other Islander missing included Emma Milton, Joel Kirby, Moziah Pinder, Lucy Graybill, Ruby Dale and Diamanté Laiva.
Maya caught up with couple Uma Jammeh and Wil Anderson, Omar Nyame and Samantha Kenny and Hugo Godfrey and Jess White.
They were also joined by Harriett Blackmore, Ronnie Vint, Joey Essex and Jessy Potts.
While Grace Jackson, Reuben Collins and Munveer Jabbal were also present at the final.
Their shock victory meant series favourites Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies came runners-up – despite having been coupled up from the start.
Mimii and Josh got together two weeks before the final after her on/off romance with Ayo Odukoya, with her confessing she still had feelings for her former flame.
But nurse Mimii was a firm favourite among fans from the moment she entered the villa, with many suggesting she’s the reason she and Josh won.
One wrote on social media: “Let’s be honest, people didn’t vote for the most compatible or genuine couple to win, they just voted cause they wanted Mimii to win.”
Another said: “I’m a full Mimii and Josh supporter but can the girl at least show that she’s interested in that man like damn.”
A third added: “Mimii had a sensational #loveisland experience.
“Lots of good looking men checking for her + Josh. Never dumped despite being single couple times. Little bit of drama to stay relevant, looked amazing the entire time and pretty much every single islander LOVED her + loads of fans.”
After Mimii confessed to still having feelings for Ayo, he was quick to shut it down and insisted he was focused on his romance with Jess Spencer.
Elsewhere, viewers were also left convinced Nicole and Ciaran were “fuming” after missing out on the prize.
One wrote: “Ciaran and Nicole thought they had it in the bag. They were fuming.”
A second posted: “Nicole and Ciaran thought they won.”
“I know Nicole and Ciaran are fuming,” a third said while another added: “Nicole and Ciaran fuming! All that hard work for nothing.”
